Electronic Safe and Arm Devices (ESAD) is an electronic arming and ignition system which keeps the missile warhead safety on and starts the activation of the front and main warheads detonation process in tandem when certain conditions are met and physical contact/proximity to the target is detected. During the transportation, storing and free flight, it provides safety of the ammunition along the way. The ESAD ensures safe storing, transportation and operation of the critically energetic ammunition in electromagnetic conditions such as Electro Magnetic Pulse (EMP) and Electromagnetic Radiation Operation (EMRO).
